Just nitpicking from a former copy editor, but the second paragraph should begin. Join Brooke Lyn and ME (not I).

A horror show has been created..The traffic was standing still this morning because of the double parked trucks in front of VCVS and Food Town and the double parked cars on the opposite side in front of the many doctor’s offices. IN addition it has increased the traffic on the residential streets, especially 10th Street and 8th Street which has a school and library on it corner/….which brilliant DiBlasio cohort thought all this up and where is Landers and his concerns for his constituency>>>>>???

Hi, I’m sure, like many, you are sick of hearing about all these mass shootings. Is there any headway on proposed laws such as the New York Extreme Risk Protection Order bill (A. 6994/S. 5447)? It seems like a sensible law that would address guns AND mental health.

The Armory Women’s Shelter is becoming a bigger problem. Women regularly hang out in front of the doorstep of the building next to my house, lingering and blazenly smoking pot. When confronted, they are hostile and make threats. They enter the small fitness center (part of the same building) and ask for money. Now they are emboldened to show up with more women (2 hrs after I had the confrontation) to the same location, probably for intimidation! Ambulances pull up regularly due to (probably) fights there. Guards are supposed to walk the perimeter of the Armory and adjoining blocks, but they don’t. I have made a complaint with the org, CAMBA, but this needs to be a larger neighborhood discussion about better enforcement of the rules by Armory personnel.

Please place a stop sign or street light at the corner of WEindsor Place and 10th Ave. Please go and see what that intersection is like on a school morning from 7:45-8:15. It’s dangerous. I have written to the DOT numerous times and have heard nothing back. Here is what I sent to the DOT. Thanks

Currently there is no stop sign or stop light at this intersection. Many children walk to school here and cars are zooming down 10th ave. with no stop signs for may blocks. It is hard for people to cross the street because there are often blind spots and double parked cars. An accident is waiting to happen. Please place a stop sign on 10th ave where it crosses Windsor Place. I have already written about this concern and never heard back from the DOT. Case # DOT-312349-G4L3

I am opposed to lowering the voting age in our state to 17(or lower). I am one of many, many people that justifiably find that 17 is still a little too young to vote despite being having employment part time as well as paying taxes. It is kept at 18 for a valid reason, plus 18 is not an arbitrary age to start the franchise. Being trusted to learn to drive at that 17 has absolutely nothing to do with being qualified to vote. It is a non-sequitur. I want this bill to either get voted down or have the part about lowering the voting age removed from the bill. If anybody says the 18 voting age is unfair, that is just too bad . Though I do not say this lightly. I find that most people are satisfied with our statewide voting age of 18. The voting age should be left at 18, PLEASE ! Please e-mail me back. Thank you.

I strongly believe that releasing the candidate’s last 5 years tax returns should be required for being on the ballot for statewide and national offices

If NY hasn’t already done so, I want us to join the states who have agreed that as soon as states with a majority of electoral votes have enacted similar laws, NY state’s electoral votes will be cast for the winner of the popular vote.

I understand that opens the possibility of country wide recounts (because every vote will count) but that is better than having 20,000 votes in Minnesota being worth more than 3 million votes in the rest of the country.

Hi. I live in Windsor Terrace. My son attends school at PS 154. Everyday we cross 10ave and Windsor place. The intersection is dangerous because cars speed down 10 ave with no stop signs along the way. Many children cross this intersection and it’s an accident waiting to happen. I have written to the NYC DOT and contacted Brad Landers, but I haven’t heard anything back. Please help me place a stop sign at this intersection. Thanks

PLEASE support a fair way for Direct Care Professionals. My brother is disabled and depends on the care he receives from the folks who run his day programs and group home. We are losing good people because they are NOT FAIRLY COMPENSATED. Governor Cuomo MUST provide $45 million in his budget amendments! Funding is critical to the health, safety and well-being of people with developmental disabilities and it’s the right thing to do for the people who work tirelessly caring for them.

    Mr. Carroll,

I’m a broadcast journalism student at NYU and I’m doing a short piece on Bernie Sanders supporters. The interview would involve a few questions about your support for Bernie Sanders and your views on the current state of the election. If you are available anytime in the next couple weeks, I would love to set up an interview with you. It would only take about 15 minutes and the finished video would be on NYU Tonight (local NYU channel) on the night of the election.

If you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to ask.

    Thank you in advance,

    Audrey Maxson

I’m reaching out from The New York Times, where I specialize in Advocacy messaging. I was running to the train this morning when Robert Carroll handed me his campaign flyer. We have several opportunities here at the Times that will take Carroll’s messaging to the next level. It will become especially important to increase messaging as we approach the Democratic Primary in September.

Our digital options could prove to be the most beneficial for Carroll’s campaign. Our digital campaigns can be geo-targeted to specific zip codes, which we can employ to target Brooklyn’s 44th A.D. We can also align digital placements with particular content on, such as our Politics or Business sections. Please let me know if you have any availability to discuss options.

    Thank you,
