Assemblymember Robert Carroll's Short List for Next NYC Schools Chancellor

Assemblymember Carroll has compiled a short list of potential NYC School Chancellors who have the necessary qualifications to adequately address the ongoing literacy education crisis in New York City. Assemblymember Carroll is prepared to work with New York City's next Mayor to draw from this list of candidates to ensure that the next School Chancellor has the necessary experience.

In addition, Carroll called on the next mayor to formally appoint two special advisors for literacy. These advisors would be regularly consulted by both the Mayor and the next Chancellor to ensure New York finally confronts its literacy crisis with urgency and expertise.
