Robert “Bobby” Carroll has represented Brooklyn’s 44th Assembly District since 2017, building a record as one of Albany’s most effective progressive lawmakers. He has authored and passed 35 bills through the Legislature, with 25 signed into law — delivering real results on climate, literacy, democracy, transportation, and public investment.
Born and raised in our district, Bobby attended PS 230 in Kensington before graduating from SUNY Binghamton and earning his law degree from New York Law School. He lives in Park Slope with his wife, Virginia, and their two children.
For Bobby, public service is personal — and fighting for Brooklyn is the work of a lifetime.
